Privacy Policy

Hearabout is operated by INTERESTING, LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using Hearabout, you agree to this policy.

Information you provide:

• Account details: email address, password (stored hashed), and username.
• If you sign in with Google: your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
• Prompts you submit and the Listens created from them.
• Preferences such as default voice, playback speed, and autoplay.
• Messages you send us.

Information collected automatically:

• Activity: likes, queue, playback progress, completed Listens, and feature usage.
• Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and timestamps.

Payment information: subscriptions are handled by our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number; we receive limited details such as subscription status and billing period.

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including generating and narrating Listens;
• to manage accounts, credits, and subscriptions;
• to personalize your experience and remember your preferences and progress;
• to monitor usage, fix problems, and improve the Service;
• to detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms;
• to communicate with you about your account, security, and changes to the Service;
• to comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

Listens are public. Your username, and the prompt, title, description, topics, transcript, and audio of each Listen you create, are visible to other Hearabout users, as are like counts. Do not include personal or sensitive information in prompts.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• with service providers who help us run the Service (hosting, database, storage, automated text and voice processing, payments, analytics), bound to use it only on our behalf;
• with other users, for public content described above;
• when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, or others;
• in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets;
• with your consent.

Prompts are sent to third-party processing providers to create Listens.

We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account anytime from the Account page, which deletes your profile and Listens. We may retain limited information as required by law, for billing records, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements, and residual copies may remain in backups for a limited time.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Hearabout is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

You can view and update your username and preferences, and delete your account, in the Account page. Depending on where you live (for example, California, other U.S. states, or the EU/UK), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We are based in the United States, and your information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

We use cookies and browser storage that are necessary to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and run the Service. We do not use them for third-party advertising.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post changes here with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, may provide additional notice.
